About us

HKI represents the interests of catering equipment manufacturers and of the producers of domestic heating and cooking appliances. Both manufacturer groups are organised in separate associations, which are subdivided in device-specific departments. An overview can be found here.

About 174 members rely on HKI’s services. Apart from individual advice in all economic and technical questions our services include:

• Representing the interests of manufacturers towards public authorities.

• Co-operation with all relevant institutions and branch associations on national, European and international level (EFCEM,C.E.F.A.C.D)

• Promotion of the dialogue within the branch through continuous exchange of information.

• Continuous information of the members about current economic and technical topics.

• Regular meetings of the members for the exchange of information about the market, for the discussion of new trends as well as for the discussion of same objectives and problems.

• The commitment within the trade fairs by the cooperation in exhibitor adviser boards as well as the participation in the official foreign fair program of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The main working field of HKI is the technical sphere. In particular the close co-operation with the standardization committee of heating, cooking and warming appliances (FNH) in DIN makes it possible to offer a competent consultation in the range of standardization and certifying.

Due to the corporative membership in the ZVEI (German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association) it is possible for HKI to report and inform its members about current topics concerning taxes, law, foreign trade (EU and non-EU) and environmental care.
