Since 1 January 2019, all products subject to energy labelling under the European Framework Regulation on Energy Labelling (EU) 2017/1369 must be registered in the EPREL product database (European Product Registry for Energy Labelling) before being placed on the EU market.

Manufacturers must ensure that each product is equipped with a compliant energy label and that energy labels and product information sheets are made available to retailers free of charge.
