The Department of Heating and Cooking Appliances of HKI represents the interests of over 110 manufacturers of domestic heating and cooking appliances.
A membership in the HKI provides manufacturers with individual advice on technical and economic issues.
The association focuses in particular on the creation and revision of standards at national and European level as a strategic tool for product development and quality assurance.
The HKI Department of Heating and Cooking Appliances cooperates with all relevant industry institutions at national and international level. Through the European office of the HKI Industry Association in Brussels, the activities of CEFACD, the European association for producers of gas room heaters, gas cooking appliances, fireplaces for solid fuels and oil heating cookers, are accompanied and coordinated, among other things. This gives the association the opportunity to inform its members about legal regulations at German and European level and to actively participate in political work.
Each department of the association keeps its own statistics, from which the cumulative figures result in a market overview for the respective sector. This market overview is the basis for economic and political dialogue and is recognised as an indicator for the development of the industry.
In the area of trade fairs, the HKI Association supports the ISH, the world's leading trade fair for HVAC + Water, in Frankfurt as the Germany's leading trade fair for the sector, by providing advice on content and coordinating exhibitors' interests.
