The Packaging Act is the German implementation of the European Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste. The aim is to minimise the environmental impact of packaging. The member companies of the HKI are affected by this in different ways. In order to keep them up to date, the association monitors this law and also represents the interests of its members at the Central Packaging Register Office, the responsible authorised authority in Germany.
