The Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU covers safety-related risks for electrical equipment in the voltage limits between 50 - 1000 volts for alternating current and 75 - 1500 volts for direct current. This directive is used for the safety assessment of all electrically operated catering equipment that is not subject to the Machinery Directive. Compliance with this directive is documented by affixing the CE marking.
