Directive 2014/68/EU sets requirements for pressure equipment operating in a pressure range >0.5 bar. The aim of the directive is to keep the risk of accidents (e.g. due to explosion) as low as possible and thus to ensure the safety and health of employees. In the case of catering equipment, this directive may be relevant for steam pressure boilers and steam pressure cookers. CE marking can be obtained by complying with this directive.
