Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 on plastic food contact materials and articles stipulates that these materials are manufactured in such a way that they do not pose a risk to human health and have been produced in accordance with good manufacturing practice (GMP). As a user of packaged food, the commercial kitchen is the last stop before food consumption and is responsible for ensuring that all parties involved have provided correct and conscientious information. Thus, working materials made of plastic such as food transport containers, cutting boards, cooking spoons or spatulas are also subject to the requirements.
